Finding Balance in Life: Why I Started This Blog

Hey there, friend! Welcome to Balance to Blossom—a space where we’ll chat about wellness, personal growth, and balance… but also probably laugh about how ridiculously hard it is to adult sometimes.

I’m Kerenh, the heart and mind behind this little corner of the internet, and I’m so glad you’re here. Let’s start with some real talk: I’m not a guru, a life coach, or someone who has it all figured out. I’m just an independent mom of two, trying to keep my plants alive, remember to drink enough water, and convince my kids that vegetables won’t actually ruin their lives. Sound familiar? Cool, let’s be friends.

Who Am I?

I’m someone who’s been through life’s rollercoaster and come out the other side with a few lessons, a lot of laughs, and a deep appreciation for sweatpants and strong coffee.

By day (and honestly, sometimes by night), I’m a mom of two amazing, occasionally chaotic kids, a recovering overthinker, and a self-proclaimed kitchen enthusiast—because calling myself a “chef” feels too fancy for someone who’s burned rice more times than I’d like to admit. I love cooking, experimenting with new recipes, binge-watching cooking shows, and pretending I’ll start meal prepping every Sunday (spoiler: it rarely happens).

But here’s the thing—life hasn’t always been smooth sailing. There have been moments where I felt like I was crushing it (like the one time I pulled off a three-course meal without setting off the smoke alarm), and other times when I ate cereal for dinner three nights in a row because, well, life happens.

Through it all, I’ve learned that balance isn’t about perfection—it’s about being kind to yourself, embracing the mess, and finding joy in the little things.

My Journey to Balance

As an independent mom, I know firsthand how tough it is to juggle motherhood, career, and personal passions. For years, I worked a demanding 9-5 job as a Quantity Surveyor. It was rewarding, but let’s be real—it left me with little energy for what truly mattered: my kids, my creativity, and, well… me.

Then came my turning point. I realized I was so busy “doing” that I forgot how to just be. So, I took a leap of faith—I shifted gears, embraced my passion for digital content creation, blogging, and entrepreneurship, and started carving out a path that allowed me to live life on my own terms.

It wasn’t easy. There were plenty of moments of self-doubt, stress, and possibly a few ugly cries. But guess what? It was worth it. Because through this journey, I discovered that balance isn’t about having it all—it’s about creating a life that feels fulfilling, even if it’s a little messy.

Why This Blog?

Honestly? Because I needed it.

Life can feel like a never-ending to-do list, and I wanted a space where I could slow down, reflect, and share what I’ve learned (and am still learning!) about wellness, growth, and balance.

But let’s be real—this isn’t going to be one of those blogs that tells you to wake up at 5 a.m., drink green juice, and meditate for two hours before work. Nope.

This is a judgment-free zone where we can talk about the real stuff—the good, the bad, and the “I just ate an entire bag of chips while watching reality TV” moments. Because life is messy, and that’s okay.
